Run the Ken Cunningham 5k

Welcome again to beautiful Elkins, West Virginia for the 10th Annual Kenneth Cunningham 5-K Memorial Cross-Country Run held on Saturday, August 16. The 5-K course has challenging turns in the upper trail that winds throughout a cool, wooded area, and the lower trail includes two wide streams to cross on the way to the finish line. All events are off-road.

Where: Elkins, WV - Davis & Elkins Athletic Field (former WV high school cross country course)

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS:

• 8:00 A.M. - 2 MILE TRAIL WALK
• 8:45 A.M. - 400 Meter Run for Kids 7 years & younger
• 9:15 A.M. - 1/2 mile mini-Cross-Country Run for Kids 8 to 11 years old
• 10:00A.M. - 5-K Cross-Country Run

About: The race features a team concept of men's and women's teams of mixed ages. Teams will be randomly picked once registration closes. Each team selects a team captain, a team name and let the fun begin. Middle School and High School Cross-Country runners will be excluded for the team event.

** MIDDLE AND HIGH SCHOOL CROSS-COUNTRY RUNNERS WILL BE EXCLUDED FROM OUR TEAM CONCEPT **

RACE DAY REGISTRATION TIMES / FEES:

• 7:30 A.M. - Walkers ($8.00 for 2M Walk)
• 7:45 A.M. to 9:30 A.M. - Runners
• 1/2 mile Cross-Country Run fee is $8.00
• 400 meter run is free
• 5K Run Fee is $12.00 before Monday, August 11th, and $15.00 after and on race day

• All proceeds will benefit both Elkins Middle & High School Cross-Country teams

AWARDS: Ribbons to all participants

WALKERS: 1st and 2nd Men and Women ages 19 & under, 20-39, 40+

KID AWARDS: 11st for each event, medals to remaining participants

RUN AWARDS: 1st and 2nd Place Overall Male and Female winners plus:

1st, 2nd, and 3rd in each age division, and Team Medals for 1st Men and Women's teams

Age Divisions /Men and Women: 12 & under; 13-15; 16-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60+

**OVERALL WINNERS WILL BE EXCLUDED FROM AGE DIVISIONS**

Door prizes will be given after event!
